Academia Chisinau and Saxan Ceadar-Lunga withdrew from the National Division. Thus, the Moldovan Football Federation decided to postpone the championship for a week, IPN reports.

Representatives of the National Division clubs were invited to the draw that will be heal at the head office of the Moldovan Football Federation at 11am on July 3. There will be compiled a new competition schedule with ten teams, namely Sheriff, Dacia, Milsami, Zaria, Zimbru, Petrocub, Speranta, Dinamo-Auto, Spicul and Sfantul Gheorghe.

Academia withdrew owing to financial problems, while Saxan gave up because it does not have a natural grass field in Gagauzia. “We will play in Division A so as to be able to host the opponents at our own arena,“ said the coach of the team from Ciadar-Lunga Grigore Cadan.

The Moldovan Football Federation decided that all the matches starting with the new season will be played on natural grass fields.
