On May 1, StarNet launched the first free Wi-Fi zone in Hancesti and organized a day full of events and surprises for the locals, Info-Prim Neo learned from a company press release. StarNet has had a Regional Center in Hancesti for half a year. The town is the first locality in the south of Moldova where the company opened a Wi-Fi zone. The event continues the social program of providing public parks with free Wi-Fi, launched in 2009 by StarNet. Cornel Gospodinov, head of StarNet Hancesti, emphasized the great success of the Chisinau Metropolitan Wi-FI Network and Wi-Fi zones in Ungheni and Soroca “The Wi-Fi service is accessed thousands of times daily. People are happy they have free Internet and can spend their time searching for useful information, writing emails or chatting with friends on their favorite sites. That’s why we hope to make the people happy with the Wi-Fi zone, as this is a long-awaited service. We will continue to support free communication with the loved ones via Internet, the openness to new things and the improvement of knowledge of using new informational technologies”, said Cornel Gospodinov. Free access to wireless Internet in Hancesti is a result of the public-private partnership between StarNet and the town hall. StarNet is installing Wi-Fi spots in public gardens in different towns in support to its strategy of national development.
