StarNet innovates advertising in Moldova
StarNet launched a new advertising campaign, integrating for the first time in Moldova the QR code, the company said in a press release.
The residents and visitors of Chisinau can now see a new kind of advertising, brought in Moldova for the first time by StarNet. The campaign promotes the triple package “Internet, Television and Telephony” and uses an original tool – the QR code.
The QR-Code (Quick Response) is a matrix barcode that can instantly display any information it contains on a screen. Companies from Japan, Europe and America have been using the QR code in advertisements for years. With its help, consumers can easily and quickly access additional information about products or promotions by using their mobile phones.
The campaign started on TV with a commercial presenting StarNet’s triple offer and is supported by billboards through the city, containing the QR code. The solution was developed by ZenithOptimedia, advertising company and member of the VivaKi international group.
“StarNet is a revolutionary company, bringing innovation in the services it provides- internet, telephony and television, and in communication with its customers. The Moldovan public is receptive to every new technology. In this regard, the campaign is another way of expanding our clients’ possibilities”, said Octavian Hera, marketing director at StarNet.
In order to try this marketing innovation, people must have a smart-phone with Internet connection and a barcode reader app.
