Standing Bureau will have 13 members instead of 12, one more BCS member included

The Parliament’s Standing Bureau will consist of 13 persons, not of 12 as until now. MP of the Bloc of the Communists and the Socialists (BCS) Constantin Starîș was also included in its makeup, IPN reports.

Earlier, BCS accused the parliamentary majority of not correctly calculating the number of places on the Standing Bureau and insisted that they should have one more MP on the Bureau.

On August 5, the legal commission for appointments and immunities approved a draft decision providing for the increase in the number of members of the Parliament’s Standing Bureau from 12 to 13 so as to ensure the proportional representation of the parliamentary groups on the Bureau.

This way, the Standing Bureau will include three ex officio members (Speaker and Deputy Speakers) and ten MPs.

The MPs who will serve on the Standing Bureau on behalf of PAS are Olesea Stamate, Liliana Nicolaescu-Onofrei, Doina Gherman, Dan Perciun, Veronica Roșca and Vladimir Bolea.

The Bloc of the Communists and the Socialists delegated Vasile Bolea, Corneliu Furculiță and Constantin Starîș, while the Shor Party - Denis Ulanov.

The ex officio members of the Standing Bureau are Speaker Igor Grosu and Deputy Speakers Mihai Popșoi and Vlad Batrîncea.

The draft decision was adopted by the votes of 84 MPs.
