The Parliament’s Standing Bureau will come together for a meeting on June 10 to arrange the ordinary plenary sittings of the legislative body on Thursdays and Fridays. Sittings’ agendas include a number of items and the law on noncommercial organizations is among them, President Igor Dodon informed after the weekly meeting of senior state officials, IPN reports.
“I and the Prime Minister pleaded publicly in favor of this issue. A compromise was reached to amend a number of articles that will enable to minimize the risks of involvement of foreign forces in the Republic of Moldova’s domestic policy,” said President Dodon. He noted that if these amendments are supported, the law on NGOs will be given a second reading this week so that it is later transmitted for promulgation.
The bill on the assistance for veterans is another draft law that will be put to the vote in Parliament this week. This envisions the provision of free health policies and the rising of the social benefit for widows. “This decision was taken by the Government together with the veterans who formulated such demands,” stated the official.
