A number of artistic events will be held in the Square of the Metropolitan Cathedral “God’s Birth” in central Chisinau on the eve of Christmas celebrated according to the Gregorian calendar. The program starts at 4:30 pm, when the Brass Band of Santa Claus will play winter songs, IPN reports.

Valy Boghean Band and “Mugurel” Orchestra will give a concert starting at 6pm. The event will involve officials.

The Chisinau City Hall said extraordinary open-air performances on the occasion of the winter holidays will be held in the Great National Assembly Square between December 25 and December 31. Each day starting at midday, actors of the Municipal Puppet Theater “Guguță” will give concerts near the Christmas tree. Also, between 2pm and 3pm, the visitors could have pictures taken together with national stars near the Christmas tree.

Those who want to have pictures with Santa Claus or to take carousel rides in the amusement park downtown can do it daily free of charge between 2pm and 5pm.
