The works to lay out the square located at 20 Colina Pushkin St are in full swing. The General Housing and Amenities Division said the fitness ground is already ready and work is currently underway to renovate the alleyways and build the playground, IPN reports.
The area had been neglected for many years. There were only a few playing elements and chairs that were worn-out there. It was decided to demolish these and to streamline the area for the benefit of the residents of Chisinau, said the Division.
Besides the fitness ground and the playground, alleyways and green areas will be set up on that territory. Public lighting, benches and trash cans will also be installed.
The total investment in this project is 1.6 million lei. The municipality’s contribution is 1.2 million lei. The other part of the amount is the co-financing of the Polish Embassy in the Republic of Moldova.
