The spring conscription in Chisinau will cost the municipal budget about 69,000 lei. The sum was approved by the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) at its last meeting, Info-Prim Neo reports. The largest part of the money will be used to organize festivities involving artistic groups, singers and a creation and presentation group. There will be held sports competitions and the winners will be awarded. Presents for the recruits, fuel, subscription and office supplies will be purchased also from the municipal budget. The preparations for drafting young persons from Chisinau to serve in the armed forces for a fixed and reduced period of time will start this month. About 3,000 persons will be called up this spring. At the same meeting, the Chisinau councilors approved the nominal composition of the Joint Drafting Commission. It will consist of eight members.
