The spring cleanup campaign started in the municipality of Chisinau. As every year, all the municipal entities will be involved, as well as volunteers, IPN reports. “I want to call on all the residents of Chisinau to every day join our cleanup campaigns so that we have a cleaner city, but also urge those who don’t accept this invitation to refrain from storing waste and damaging goods,” the head of the General Housing and Amenities Division Ion Burdiumov stated in the ordinary meeting of officials of municipal services.
The municipal housing sector managing enterprises and dwellers’ associations will collect the dry leaves gathered in courtyards and will maintain clean the territory and the areas around waste collection platforms and also the playgrounds and sports grounds in the courtyards of the managed apartment building. The General Housing and Amenities Division will monitor the carrying out of cleanup works.
The district head’s offices will ensure the cleaning of parks in the managed territory and the collection of waste, the identification of unauthorized improvised landfills and their removal. The ascertaining agents of district head’s offices will impose fines on individuals and legal entities for failure to ensure cleanliness on the managed territory.
The municipal Green Spaces Association will perform cleaning works in parks, on squares, alleys and other green areas under its management. Also, trees will be planted in green areas of the city and the dry trees in the courtyards of apartment buildings, in parks, on alleys, on street alignments will be cleared.
The cleanup company Autosalubritate will ensure the transportation of household waste from platforms, avoiding the overcrowding of containers. It will wash and disinfect the existing containers and will place additional containers if necessary.
The cleanup campaign will run until May 3.
