Firefighters were called to extinguish a fire at the sports facility of the Moldovan Football Federation in Vadul lui Voda in the morning of May 31. Diana Turcan, press officer of the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, has told IPN that three firefighting vehicles went to the scene at about 9am and localized the fire after an hour.

The fire destroyed about 100 square meters of the facility’s roof. Nobody was hurt. The cause of fire hasn’t been established yet.

The sports facility in Vadul lui Voda is usually used by Moldova’s national football teams for training. Matches of the national championship are also played there.
