A man was killed and two were seriously injured in an accident that happened on the Chisinau-Soroca road nor far from Orhei. A speeding VAZ-2107 skidded, made a U-turn and collided head-on with a minibus Mercedes Sprinter, Info-Prim Neo reports. Tudor Capatana, spokesman for the Traffic Police Division, said the 39-year-old driver of the VAZ died on the spot, while two passengers were rushed to the hospital. Two minors aged 10 were hospitalized after they were involved in traffic accidents. One of them was riding a bicycle on Igor Vieru St in Chisinau when he was struck by a Volkswagen. The child was admitted to “Valentin Ignatenco” Hospital with contusions and excoriations. Another minor was taken to the same hospital with a cranial-cerebral trauma and a concussion after he was hit by a speeding Peugeot in Magdacesti village. A man aged 57 crashed his motorcycle into a tree in Glodeni. He suffered a cranial-cerebral trauma and a concussion. One person was killed and nine injured in six road accidents on June 15. Another 38 accidents caused no victims.
