Speeders risk to be identified faster
The Capital Road Police was equipped with other three performing speed measuring devices, beside those three used for a year already.
According to the inspector of the Traffic Safety, Administrative Supervision and PR Service of Chisinau Road Police, Ion Roscovanu, the Russian-made radars “Iscra-video” detect speed at a distance of 300 meters and more. At the same time, these devices detect speed not only when the patrol car is parked, but also in motion. Roscovanu mentions.
At the same time, the “Iscra-video” radars register and display the date, hour, vehicle, its number and its velocity. The information is stocked in the memory of these devices and can be used as proof in court in case speeders will plead innocent.
On Wednesday, those 6 radars will be installed on Dacia, Decebal, Calea Orheiului, Calea Mosilor, and Soseaua Hancesti boulevards. Police recommends the speeders to avoid accelerating not only on these streets, but in other places as well, where an equipped car might patrol.
On Tuesday police agents of Chisinau have made 37 reports for speeding.
