The archeological patrimony of Moldova will be recorded in specialized registers. The issue was discussed in a meeting of the Board of the Ministry of Culture on May 29, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The cultural patrimony of national importance will form part of the Fund category, while that of international importance – from the Treasure category.
The process of classifying the static archeological patrimony will be launched and monitored by the National Archeological Agency.
If a new archeological research is necessary, it will be possible only by the authorization of the Ministry of Culture. The archeological researches will be obligatory in the case of new constructions, reconstructions, restorations and other interventions in land with archeological potential.
Under the old regulations on the classification of the archeological monuments, the whole archeological patrimony was included in one register.
