Special work regime for public sector employees as from June 15

The public sector employees will have a special work regime as from June 15. The employees whose presence is not mandatory at the workplace will work from home. A decision to this effect was taken by the Government in the evening of June 12, IPN reports.

According to Deputy Prime Minister Sergiu Pușcuța, Minister of Finance, the decision was drafted following the epidemiological developments influenced by COVID-19.

As of June 15, the heads of budget-funded entities managed by the Government will organize the work of salary earners in cycles that will last for two consecutive weeks.

Only the personnel that are strictly necessary at the workplace will travel to work. The interaction of employees from the two cycles will be excluded. Work from a distance will be organized for personnel whose presence at the workplace is not obligatory.

The provisions are not mandatory for health facilities, emergency and social assistance units, the national defense, public order and national security sectors and others. The organization of work at these institutions will be at the discretion of managers, depending on needs.

The Government recommends the independent and local public institutions to abide by these provisions in the organization of work.
