The Parliament’s Standing Bureau decided to convene a special sitting of the legislative body where to consider giving a vote of confidence to the Sturza Government on January 4, at 2pm, Speaker Andrian Candu announced after the Bureau’s meeting, IPN reports.
Andrian Candu said the candidate for premiership Ion Sturza informed him that on January 2 he will present information about the candidates for Cabinet member and the government program so that this could be distributed to the MPs.
Asked about the rumors that the Democratic MPs and the former Communist MPs, who formed the Social-Democratic Platform in Parliament, agreed not to ensure the quorum at the special sitting, the Speaker said he will do his best for the quorum to be present, noting he does not know about such an agreement.
The Head of Parliament also said that the last sitting of the autumn-winter session of the legislature starts on December 29, at 2 pm.
