Special relations with Moldova to remain priority objective for Romania – Romanian PM

The collaboration relations with the Republic of Moldova and promoting its European goal will remain first importance objectives, Romania’s Prime Minister, Calin Popescu Tariceanu declared at the Diplomacy Annual Reunion. The Romanian PM declared that Vasile Tarlev plans to visit Bucharest this autumn to sign the regional agreement South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP). According to him, the accreditation of Moldova as member of this regional community is practically decided. Significant actions were undertaken in this respect. In the speech delivered to the diplomats, Tariceanu said that he wants Moldova to share the same goals so that no one could say that Romania makes more efforts than Moldova should make. The efforts of Romania aimed at facilitating the access of Moldova to certain infrastructure, cross-border projects will continue, PM declared in Bucharest. Romania is due to join the EU on January 1, 2007.
