Special Destination Unit of Carabineer Troops wins first place at Martial Arts Festival
The special destination unit of the Carabineer Troops Department (CTD) is the winner of the Martial Arts Festival held for the first time at the Military Base 1002 of CTD on Wednesday, May 16.
According to the organisers, the winners showed professional skills in what concerns different types of interventions in exceptional situations, self-defence techniques etc. The second place was won by the traditional karate section “Shotokan” and the third place – the box school from Grimcauti village, Briceni. The winners were given awards and diplomas.
The festival was also attended by the “Judo-karate” section of the “Dinamo” CSC, the Box School from Grimcauti village, Briceni, the Traditional Karate Section, “Free-style wrestling” Section of “Dinamo” CSC, “Stefan cel Mare” Police Academy. The soldiers of the Military Base 1002 presented the possibilities of CTD in what concerns the protection of the major state objectives, and the Military Base 1006 – hand-to-hand fight presentations.
According to the cited sources, the event aims at popularising the martial arts in Moldova, developing the initiative spirit, patriotism, increasing the responsibility for the service missions, spreading a healthy lifestyle among the young generation etc.
