Spain ratifies Association Agreement between EU and Moldova

Spain today submitted the instrument on the ratification of the Association Agreement between the European Union and Moldova to the General Secretariat of the Council of the European Union after it was signed by His Royal Majesty and authorized by Parliament beforehand, IPN reports.

The Embassy of Spain in Bucharest issued a communique, saying the ratification of the Association Agreement is a proof of Spain’s firm commitment to Moldova. This accord, which is being implemented on a provisional basis, is a key element for developing the relations between the EU and the official Chisinau and envisions an ambitious agenda of reforms that are beneficial to Moldovan society and to the European one.

So far the accord was ratified by Romania, Latvia, Estonia, Malta, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Hungary, Sweden, Poland, Croatia, Denmark, Ireland, Germany, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, the UK, France, Portugal, Luxemburg, Slovenia, Finland, and Belgium. 2014.
