Spades for Communist protesters to remove snow

Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca said the Communist protesters should be given by a spade so that this Saturday they clean the place where they will protest. The reaction comes after last Saturday Communist councilor Victor Odobescu phoned the mayor to ask him why the snow wasn’t removed from the Great National Assembly Square, where members and sympathizers of the PCRM came together.
“Everyone chooses the suitable time for protesting. Should we have blown hot air if it had been spring or summer and it had rained, so as to create conditions for x or y to protest,” Dorin Chirtoaca said in Monday’s ordinary meeting of City Hall officials, quoted by Info-Prim Neo.
The mayor said that under the law, the City Hall is obliged to clean the place where protests are to take place, not to ensure favorable conditions.
According to organizers, the protest staged by the PCRM involved about 2 000 persons. The protesters demanded that the ruling alliance resign.
