A southern cyclone that will be crossing the Republic of Moldova on January 7 will bring rain and sleet that on the night of January 8 will turn into snow. The higher winds are likely to cause snowstorms, Nadejda Stolear, head of the Forecasts Division of the State Weather Service, has told IPN.
When the front passes, the temperatures will drop significantly. There will be around 0 degrees Celsius on January 7.
On January 8-9, daytime temperatures will vary between -3 and -8 degrees Celsius, while nighttime temperatures will oscillate between -10 and -15 degrees Celsius.
