Șor Party seeks urgent convocation of special sitting of Parliament

The MPs of Șor Party requested to urgently convene an extraordinary siting of Parliament to debate the price rises and expansion of poverty. According to them, the Premier, ministers and the directors of the National Agency for Energy Regulation should be invited to this sitting, IPN reports.

In a news conference, MP Denis Ulanov said that a series of state took measures to support the population following the increases in prices, but the Republic of Moldova didn’t do so. The authorities didn’t come up with economic policies to alleviate the effects of price rises. The parliamentary group of Șor Party submitted a number of relevant proposals, but the parliamentary majority refused to include them in the agenda for examination.

Today, the Parliament’s Standing Bureau is to agree the agenda of the April 14 sitting of Parliament. Denis Ulanov said he asked Speaker Igor Grosu to make use of his rights and to call a special sitting of Parliament.
