A 67-year-old man from Todiresti village of Anenii Noi district died at the district hospital, where he was taken with burns all over his body. Earlier, there was an explosion in the man’s yard and his 38-year-old son was found dead with two stab wounds on his body.

Contacted by IPN for details, press officer of the Anenii Noi Police Inspectorate Mariana Didenco confirmed that on May 1, at about 06:00 a.m., a neighbor heard a loud noise in the adjacent yard. He went to see what happened and alerted the police.

The older man was still alive but suffered serious burns and was taken to the hospital. His son was already dead. It is alleged that the father stabbed his son and then caused the explosion. It is known that the 38-year-old man, who lived with his father, was under the supervision of a psychiatrist.

Doctors at the district hospital diagnosed third- and fourth-degree burns all over the body. At 05:30 p.m., the man died.
