The prices of some of the vegetables at the market decreased compared with last week. A kilogram of tomatoes can be bought for 5 lei. Cucumbers cost 7-8 lei/kg, as opposed to 10 lei last week. Bell peppers are sold for 9 lei/kg, while eggplants for 10 lei/kg. Last week, the bell peppers and eggplants cost both 10 lei per kilogram, IPN reports.

One kilogram of capsicums costs 15 lei and up, as against 18 - 22 lei a week ago. Vegetable marrows are sold for 8 lei/kg. Potatoes can be bought for 6 lei per kilogram as last week, but at some of the stalls these cost event 5 lei. Cabbage costs 4-5 lei/kg. Last week greens sold for 5 lei a bunch, but now can be found at the price of 4 lei.

The prices of some season fruit have increased. Plums can be bought for 13 lei/kg, in contrast to 8 lei last week. Cornelian cherries are sold for 15 to 18 lei per kilogram. Raspberry costs 30 lei/kg, while grapes 12 lei, slightly higher than a week ago. Peaches cost 12 lei/kg, as last week.
