Three weeks before the beginning of the school year, schools of several suburban localities need serious repair works of roofs, sport rooms, heating and sewerage systems. Because of this, the educational process in some schools could be affected, in case no measures will be undertaken in this respect, the interim head of the General Department for Education, Science, Youth and Sports, Tatiana Nagnibeda declared at the meeting of the Mayoralty. According to the quoted source the schools of Condrita, Ghidighici, Bacioi, Durlesti, Hulboaca and Cruzesti are confronting with serious problems. The mayors of suburban localities reproached local authorities with the fact that they do not have access to public finances, because the investments performed in localities with municipal money are introduced through the Capital Constructions Department, fact that affects the terms and the quality of works. The Mayor of Bacioi commune, Ion Bivol said that because of the lack of money, the local council allocated only MDL 70 thousand for the repair works of 3 kindergartens and 3 schools, however the real necessities for repairing one school amount to MDL 400 mln. The Mayor of Ciorescu commune, Boris Plesca says that the locality did not receive money from the municipal budget despite numerous promises and the fact that the mayoralty of Ciorescu solicited money only for repairing the roof of the school. The Mayor mentioned that the interior works were sponsored by parents and donors, but because of the damaged roof, when it is raining, the water gets into the school. According to data of the General Finance Department, the mayoralties of the suburban localities have MDL 9.8 mln obtained from the operations with capital, which can be used as supplementary sources for localities’ necessities. The last year’s unspent financial resources of this localities amount to MDL 3 mln.
