It has been raining heavily in Chisinau and the intervention teams of municipal services are on duty. The City Hall noted that for the safety of citizens, some of the streets could be closed and some public transport routes could be redirected or temporarily suspended. In case of problematic situations, the residents of the city are urged to call the Central Municipal Dispatcher’s Office on (022) 22-22-67, (022) 22-26-04 or to call the single emergency number 112, IPN reports.

The Chisinau City Hall calls on the citizens to be cautious in order to protect their health and goods.

“We call on all the citizens of the municipality to be careful when they are outside the home, and parents to supervise their minor children in order to prevent possible dangers caused by natural phenomena. The citizens are also urged not to leave their homes during the rainfall if they do not have extreme needs,” reads a press release issued by the municipality.

Also, to prevent possible incidents, the citizens are urged to avoid old trees, including parking cars under them.

The authorities noted that it will rain heavily in Chisinau the coming hours. The rain will be thunder and lighting and high winds.
