Some schools face closing amid renewed swine flu fears
The schools stricken by at least three cases of A(H1N1) infections will be closed, while the classrooms where the cases are detected will be sealed for seven days for disinfection, under a decision adopted by the national anti-epidemic commission on Tuesday evening, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The decision will take effect on Wednesday, said Education Minister Leonid Bujor, but the final word on whether to close a school or not will belong to the local heads of education departments as well as sanitary chiefs.
At the anti-epidemic commission's meeting, chaired by prime-minister Vlad Filat, it was reported that the number of pandemic flu infections has followed an upward trend over the past three weeks, totaling 721.
Health Minister Vladimir Hotineanu also said the incidence in children has risen by 30 percent in recent months.
