Principals of kindergartens, schools and colleges will get 1000-1200 lei raises under an amendment to the 2019 Budget Law approved by the Government today.

Raises ranging from 500 to 800 lei will also be given to non-commissioned officers and officers of the Interior Ministry.

This and other six legislative measures were adopted by the Cabinet in a special procedure.

“We had to do this considering Parliament’s limited functionality now. You could see that we did some analysis and made some adjustments to the Salary Law and other important issues, which we had to do and which couldn’t wait until we have a fully functional Parliament again”, explained Pavel Filip.
