The observance of the 14-day self-isolation regime in definite places for persons who enter the Republic of Moldova will no longer be mandatory for everyone. The National Extraordinary Commission for Public Health annulled this obligation for a number of categories of persons, IPN reports.
According to Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Viorica Dumbrăveanu, the drivers and personnel serving units of transport that convey goods, crews of planes, ships and trains will be spared from this obligation. The measure also applies to persons who travel for health or humanitarian reasons, those who accompany these persons, students studying at foreign education institutions, persons who travel for professional interests and who can prove this by confirming documents, transfrontier workers, employees of embassies and consular offices accredited to Moldova.
Viorica Dumbrăveanu said the self-isolation regime is imposed on these persons only if they show symptoms typical of COVID-19 when being examined on entrance. The restrictions will be further adjusted, depending on the development of the epidemiological situation.
