The Government approved the decision to increase the monthly child benefit provided up to the child’s age of one year and a half to socially uninsured persons by 100 lei to 540 lei from August 1, IPN reports.

This and other decisions to raise allowances were taken in a Cabinet meeting convened in the morning of July 1 and are to be examined by the MPs when these debate the 2016 draft state social insurance budget law that is to be passed in the final reading today.

Thus, the monthly state nominal allowances for persons who were awarded honorific titles, medals and orders, except for those who hold the Order of the Republic and the orders “Stefan cel Mare” and “Labor Glory” of the I, II and  III classes, and for persons who were conferred the title of Socialist Labor Hero, will be doubled.

Also, there will be instituted a state monthly allowance for persons who worked in education institutions in Transnistria and in Bender town, which are managed by the Ministry of Education.
