Some 80 Moldovan localities remain powerless
Some 80 Moldovan areas remained without electricity after the storms last evening.
The press officer of the Civil Protection and Emergency Service, Liliana Puscasu, has told Info-Prim Neo the cables feeding 77 localities from 14 districts from the country's North and South were broken. At 6.00 on Thursday, 40 localities were waiting to be connected to the power grid.
At a parking lot on Testemitanu street in the capital, a Volkswagen Transporter minibus burnt, as the police are looking for the owner.
In the village of Malinovskoe (Rascani), a house burnt because of reasons unknown so far. 1,173 fires have been recorded in Moldova this year, claiming 113 lives, including 6 children.
