Compensations for payments for communal services and energy resources in the 2019 - 2020 cold season will be provided by the municipality. During the CMC meeting held on November 20, the Muncipal Council approved with 44 votes the extension of the 2017 regulation regarding compensation of expenses.
Deputy head of the General Department for Housing and Communal Development, Ghenadie Dubița, said that compensations will be granted in the same way as last year. The list of compensation beneficiaries might be supplemented with persons from young families.
According to Ghenadie Dubiţa, the expenses of housing fund management companies that collect documents for remuneration will be covered. "There are a lot of notifications from the housing fund managers that point out that they have a high work load", said Ghenadie Dubiţa.
Beneficiaries can submit claims for expenses throughout the 2019 - 2020 cold season. The persons who have benefited from the respective compensations during the cold period 2018 - 2019 can submit reconfirmation requests.
Families with incomes lower that 3000 lei per person, in the preceding 12 months from the date of submission of the application, can claim compensation. In the case of young families, in which one of the spouses has not reached the age of 35 years, the amount of the average monthly global income, for 12 preceding months from the date of the application, may not exceed 5000 lei.
Ghenadie Dubiţa said that there are currently over 40 thousand compensation beneficiaries. According to the regulation, the fixed amount of compensation for those who do not have centralized heating is 500 lei, while all other beneficiaries get 40% of the heating and hot water bill, which represents on average 450 lei.
