Socialists will put forward censure motion

The leader of the Party of Socialists Igor Dodon told a news conference that this week they will submit a censure motion against the Government. According to him, the agenda of the next sitting of Parliament will contain the censure motion and draft decisions for the dismissal of six institution heads, IPN reports.

“The censure motion against the Strelet Government will be registered by 26 signatures. For it to be adopted, we need 51 votes. We will make effort for the censure motion to be submitted this week and to be voted in Parliament next week. We will dismiss this Government that did nothing, as the previous Cabinets of the ‘Greens’ didn’t do,” said Igor Dodon.

The Socialists’ leader noted that this is the fourth Government headed by a member of the PLDM. “What did they do during these six years? One Cabinet was dismissed for acts of corruption, another one conceded the airport and banks, while the third, of Chiril Gaburici, in March allocated 5 billion lei by a secret government decision, and now we have that of Valeriu Strelet,” he stated.

Igor Dodon said they will garner the number of votes needed for the censure motion to be passed in Parliament. He insists that early parliamentary elections should be held next spring.
