The Party of Socialists condemns and intends to appeal the court judgment in the case of their mate Alla Darovannaya, who was obliged to apologize publicly to presidential adviser Ala Nemerenco and to pay 24,600 lei damages to her after this February Alla Darovannaya in a news conference said that Ala Nemerenco illegally received her master’s diploma. The Centru branch of the Chisinau City Court found Alla Darovannaya guilty of disseminating false and defamatory information against Ala Nemerenco, IPN reports.
“The political subordination of the judiciary and the use of judges in political interests – this is the angle through which the decision of the first court in the civil lawsuit involving Alla Darovannaya and Ala Nemerenco should be regarded,” the Party of Socialists said in a press release, noting Alla Darovannaya found out about the court decision from the press.
The Socialists say their colleagues made those assertions about the issuing of the master’s diploma with deviations from the law based on an official document issued by the Ministry of Education. “We note that in its response, the Ministry of Education said Ala Nemerenco didn’t attend the lectures as part of the master’s course, didn’t take admission exams and the mandatory graduation exams. There is no other legal provision based on which the master’s diploma is conferred. This way, the only conclusion in this case is that the master’s diploma of Ala Nemerenco was provided illegally,” runs the press release.
In a reaction on Facebook, Ala Nemerenco said she didn’t talk much about what happened to her in January-February, when she was the target of a media attack staged by three Socialist MPs. One of the attack’s subjects was the manipulative story about the “false diploma”. “I then declared publicly that I will sue them for the dirty and manipulative attack they organized for their political purposes,” said Ala Nemerenco, noting that today the judged, by their decision, revived hope that the country will manage to rebuild itself and the state will become state, while Parliament will become Parliament.
