The Party of Socialists (PSRM) on May 1 will stage the traditional march dedicated to the International Workers’ Solidarity Day. President Igor Dodon announced his participation in the event, IPN reports.
According to the party, there will be two columns of marchers. One will set off from the Circus (33 Circului St) at 10am, while the second will start from the square of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova (1 Stefan cel Mare si Sfant Blvd) at the same hour. A meeting entitled “For responsible governance and social equity” will be held in front of the Parliament Bundling starting at 11am.
The presidential press service said President Dodon will take part in the march dedicated to the International Workers’ Solidarity Day that is traditionally mounted by the PSRM. At 10:30am, Igor Dodon will join the marchers near the monument to Ruler Stephan the Great and will head the column.
The National Confederation of Trade Unions didn’t announce events for May 1.
The International Workers’ Solidarity Day has been celebrated in most of the countries since 1889. In Moldova, this is a nonworking day.
