The Party of Socialists remained without a member in their group on the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) after it decided to exclude councilor Oleg Onishchenko from the group for multiple violations of the decisions taken by the group and the party. The announcement was made by the group’s leader Ion Ceban, IPN reports.
In a posting on Facebook, Ion Ceban says that Onishchenko was also excluded because he voted together with the Liberal group and for other acts that are to the detriment of the inhabitants of Chisinau municipality.
According to Ion Ceban, the decision was also influenced by the results of the investigation into a number of cases involving Oleg Onishchenko that was conducted by the party’s internal control and audit service. Also today, Fernery 23, there was initiated the procedure for excluding the councilor from the Party of Socialists.
