Socialists protest before Parliament Building, State Residence and NAER

Members and supporters of the Party of Socialists (PSRM) mounted a protest against the rise in tariffs and also demanded that the head of state should be dismissed and that early parliamentary elections should be held. They protested in front of the Parliament Building, before the building of the National Agency for Energy Regulation (NAER) and at the State Residence of the President, IPN reports.

Within the event, the Socialists put up tents near the building of the NAER. “There are two ways out: annulment of tariffs or offsetting of the increased costs by the oligarchs because of whom the prices of services went up. They stole the billion and should pay from their own pocket! Their property should be confiscated and sold so as to cover the difference between the old and new tariffs for the suppliers,” said the Socialists’ leader Igor Dodon.

After the protest staged before the Agency’s building, the Socialists went on a march to the State Residence of President Nicolae Timofti, where they demanded that this should resign.
