Sympathizers and members of the Party of Socialists protested in front of the Ministry of Finance, criticizing the government and expressing their dissatisfaction with the increase in the prices of products and services. The Socialist MPs announced they will propose a new motion against Minister of Finance Dumitru Budianschi, IPN reports.

MP Petru Burduja said the motion will be registered in Parliament on June 9. Behind you, there is a minister who has problems with math. When they came to power, they said that gasoline will cost 10 lei, not 32 lei as now. This minister, when he came to Parliament, said that inflation in 2022 will be 6%. The NBM said it will be under 15%, but we now have a rate of 27%,” stated the MP.

Chisinau councilor Alexandr Odintsov said that what the government does at present is genocide against the own people. The PAS government showed it is incompetent and should leave. “Any government has a key duty – to improve the living standards of the people. The government says that it increased pensions by 14%, but how much the prices rose? What does the current government intend to do? Right, it wants to organize a joint meeting with the Parliament of Romania. Is this the most important problem of the Republic of Moldova?” asked Alexandr Odintsov.

Socialist Nikita Țurcan said the life of Moldovans becomes harder and the blame for this is borne by the PAS government. “Diesel fuel tomorrow will be by 0.60 lei more expensive. The electricity rates are raised, but they daily teach us how to economize. A competent government should start work and should go to negotiate prices. The PAS only increases the number of ministries. The people do not know the ministers and what responsibilities these have. We, the ordinary citizens, should look for solutions,” stated Nikita Țurcan.

Last week, the Socialist MPs proposed a no-confidence motion against the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry. According to them, the state of affairs in the agricultural sector, which is a strategic sector of the national economy, is deplorable, but the minister took over in a year with record crops.
