Socialist MPs say what amendments to state budget they will support

The MPs of the Party of Socialists will support the amendment to put off the introduction of the measure to raise the VAT rate from 8% to 12% for agricultural products for half a year and the proposal to keep the lowest level from which taxes are paid on parcels with products bought online at €200, not to lower it to €100 as it is proposed, IPN reports, quoting a press release of the PSRM.

In a working meeting with incumbent President Igor Dodon, the Socialists welcomed the amendment, which was proposed on the initiative of Igor Dodon, to offer by 1,000 lei to 690,000 pensioners and recipients of other social benefits lower than 4,000 lei a month on the Easter holidays.

Among the PSRM’s priorities on the parliamentary agenda is the bill to reduce the retirement age to 57 for women and to 62 for men and to 54 years for women with five and more children. Another bill proposed by the PSRM bans the employers from firing persons who reach retirement.

The Socialist MPs will insists on the adoption, in the second reading, of the bill aimed at removing the additional fiscal pressure on the population and the economy of the Republic of Moldovan following the banking fraud and on the adoption of the draft decision providing that Europe Day in Moldova will be celebrated on May 8, while the Victory Day on May 9.
