Socialist MPs Bogdan Țârdea and Nikita Țurcan accuse President Maia Sandu of promoting former members of the PLDM, IPN reports.

“Do you remember how the PAS and Maia Sandu said that they will fight the mafia and the old political class, that only honest people with a flawless reputation will be promoted to the government? But look at Maia Sandu’s advisers and the members of the Security Council. All these persons had been members of the PLDM. This way, Maia Sandu promotes former representatives of the mafia and criminal clans to power with impudence and openly, saying these are “honest people”,” Bogdan Țârdea stated in a press briefing.

“Maia Sandu was promoted by Vlad Filat. Maia Sandu’s adviser on education Liliana Nicolaescu-Onofrei was deputy minister of education, promoted by the PLDM. PAS leader Igor Grosu, who is a member of the Supreme Security Council, was deputy minister of education, promoted by the PLDM. Andrei Spânu was named secretary general of the presidential administration after he headed the youth organization of the PLDM. Maia Sandu’s adviser on security and defense Ana Revenco in 2012 was promoted by her cousin Dorin Recean, ex-minister of the interior.”

For his part, Nikita Țurcan said the name of the adviser to the President on health Ala Nemerenco appears in a new scandal. After illegally obtaining the master’s diploma, Nemerenco started to be investigated for hiding property she owns outside Moldova.
