The Socialist councilors drafted ten decisions that they consider should be debated and approved in the September 26 meeting of the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC). The head of the Socialist group on the CMC Ion Ceban told a news conference that the draft decisions weren’t included in the meeting’s agenda and will be proposed as items for the additional agenda, IPN reports.
“If they are not included in the agenda of the next meeting, we will not have reasons to be present there,” stated Ion Ceban.
The decisions envision the allocation of 700 lei a month in financial support for the families with three and more children who go to the kindergarten, provision of meal vouchers to about 1,000 employees working in the social protection sector and culture, delivery of milk products to parents with small babies from suburban localities and inclusion of families with twins and triplets in the category of beneficiaries of free nutrition.
The Socialists also suggest allocating 6,000 lei annually for families in situations of risk for basic services, creating a support service for families with children and increasing the number of personal assistants who provide support to mothers with disabled children by 97 units.
Under the other draft decisions, the persons with visual impairments will be offered medical, non-medical specialized devices and ocular prosthetics services, while the persons with diabetes will be provided with accessories for determining blood glucose levels. Also, the regulations on dental prostheses will be amended so as to raise the income per person from 2,000 lei to 3,000 lei.
