A number of Socialist councilors serving on the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) criticize the subdivisions responsible for the state of the streets and the drainage system in the capital city. The Socialists said the streets are full of water and mud because the drainage system is not cleaned, IPM reports.
After the ordinary meeting of officials of Chisinau services, Socialist councilor Vitalie Mucan said the services responsible for the cleaning of the drainage system do not fulfil their duties. Some of the streets do not have pluvial water drains. The City Hall and the responsible subdivisions at the next meeting of the CMC should present proposals and measurers for building and cleaning pluvial drainage systems and for cleaning the Byk River.
Councilor Alexandr Odintsov said the municipality cannot identify an area where to store used tires. He requested those in charge to prepare a report on the economic justification of the processing of old tires, which should be done on the territory of the municipal enterprise “Autosalubriatate”, not at a business entity. The plaster can be processed not at a municipal enterprise, but also at a company and the obtained material can be used to make small decorative objects for the city.
In another development, Socialist councilor Nikita Țurcan said the announcement concerning the tender contest for introducing the electronic ticketing system in the municipal budget transport was published last Friday. He noted the electronic system will ensure greater transparency as regards the flow of passengers.
