The National House of Social Insurance said the last transfer for paying social benefits this year was made on December 19. The amount needed for paying pensions, allowances, financial support, compensations and other welfare in 2019 came to almost 21 billion lei, IPN reports.
In a press release, the House said the allocations for social welfare were fully transferred according to plan. It calls on the recipients of social benefits to collect these by December 26. After this date, the uncollected amounts will be transferred back to the state social insurance budget for closing the financial year.
Currently, 40 local offices of the National House of Social Insurance serve about 1.2 million recipients of social benefits.
