Social benefits unclaimed during 12 consecutive months are suspended

Social benefits that are not collected for 12 months in a row are suspended. In connection with the given legal provisions, the National House of Social Insurance urges recipients to take their social benefits, IPN reports.

The persons who chose to receive the social benefits through the offices of Moldova’s Post Office and did not collect the social benefits for various reasons must go to post offices in any locality, regardless of their domicile, to get the uncollected amounts.

According to the National House of Social Insurance, the payment of the suspended benefits can be resumed at the request of the recipient in accordance with the legislation, provided that the additional financial means necessary in the state social insurance budget are available in the respective year.
