It snowed in the northern districts on Moldova on Tuesday evening. As the streets were covered with snow, many vehicles skidded off the road and got stuck by the roadside. The drivers were helped by employees of the Lopatnic Border Police Sector, IPN reports.
“In such circumstances, we remind all the drivers of the importance of informing themselves beforehand about the expected weather conditions in our country and in the country of destination. Don’t set off if there are warnings about unfavorable weather in particular regions. Equip the vehicles appropriately and take into account the guidance of the specialized authorities. In any difficult situation, one can contact the 112 emergency service,” said the Border Police.
Weather forecasters issued a yellow advisory for difficult weather valid until Thursday. It will rain heavily in most parts, including with sleet in northern Moldova. The northwestern wind will intensify to 15-20 meters per second.
