The weather is expected to grow much colder as from December 27 and there will be snowfalls. By January 1, 2020, daytime temperatures will vary between 0 and +5 degrees Celsius, while nighttime temperatures will fall to -8 degrees Celsius.

Contacted by IPN for a comment, Gennady Roșca, head of the Weather Forecasts Center of the State Hydrometeorological Service, said snow would fall in parts on December 27, 28 and 29. Owing to the low temperatures at night, a layer of ice could form on the roads.

Gennady Roșca noted the weather would by influenced by a cyclone that could also bring stronger winds.
