New local mayoral elections will take place in Hagimus village of Căușeni district on May 15, as the Central Election Commission decided on February 15, IPN reports.

The snap elections were set following the death of the mayor. Anatolie Iepure died in a road accident at the entrance to Căușeni town a week ago.

Earlier, the Commission decided that new local mayoral elections the same day will take place in another ten settlements, namely:

– Ghetlova village of Orhei district;
– Horodiște village of Rezina district;
– Zastânca village of Soroca district;
– Moara de Piatră village of Drochia district;
– Tătărești village of Strășeni district,
– Glinjeni village of Fălești district;
– Păulești village of Călărași district;
– Alexăndrești village of Râșcani district;
–Zăicani village of Râșcani district;
–Lozova village of Strășeni district.
