The Central Election Commission decided that snap mayoral elections on May 15, 2022 will also take place in Glinjeni village of Fălești district, IPN reports.

The term in office of the mayor there ended earlier because this died, the Commission said in a press release.

The same day, snap mayoral elections will be held in five communities, namely: Ghetlova village of Orhei district; Horodiște village of Rezina district; Zastânca village of Soroca district; Moara de Piatră village of Drochia district, and Tătărești village of Strășeni district. The mayors in these villages either died or quit.
