Snap mayoral elections will take place in Braniște commune in Râșcani district on October 16, as decided by the Central Electoral Commission.
The office fell vacant after the incumbent couldn’t perform his duties for four consecutive months. This was confirmed by a court decision.
On October 16, snap mayoral elections will also take place in two other rural constituencies: Ialpujeni commune in Cimișlia, and Sălcuța village in Căușeni.
