SMURD service to be launched in Cimislia

A new emergency rescue service SMURD is to be launched in Cimislia in the nearest future. Paramedics will provide qualified assistance to people in Cimislia district after 13 employees of the General Inspectorate for Emergencies will graduate from the training course conducted by three instructors of the Emergencies Service, who were trained in Romania’s Targul Mures, IPN reports.

According to the General Inspectorate for Emergencies, the course for the future SMURD employees will last for four weeks. After completing this, the specialists will go to Iasi to gain practical experience. When they return, the representatives of the Emergencies Service will work in Cimislia and in Hancesti.

Moreover, a similar service could be launched near the border in Leuseni so that the paramedics could also provide transfrontier assistance.

Currently, SMURD services work in Balti and Cahul.
