A man choked to death in a fire which occurred in the room where he was sleeping. Head of the Firemen and Rescue Division Fire-Prevention Centre Liliana Puscasu told Info-Prim Neo that the accident occured in a house in Pruteni village, Falesti Distirct. Firemen, who had arrived to extinguish the fire, found the body of the 43-year old owner of the house. The causes of the fire are currently unknown. Children, playing with fire, were the cause of the damage of the goods from a house in Varvareuca, Floresti. Fortunately, the fire did not harm the children and they succeeded to escape the burning house. A short-circuit led to a fire in an auxiliary building of a household in Ruseni, Anenii-Noi. 18 sq m of the building were destroyed in the flames. 106 fires occurred in Moldova in March, causing 12 deaths. Since the beginning of the year, 79 persons died in flames, including 2 children, in those more than 520 registered fires.
